About Us

It all started in 1952 when Ioannis Siames, John’s and Spiro’s grandfather, hence J&S, created the famous soft candy, known as ‘’Tsarleston’’. He established the first family confectionery company in 1965, producing traditional candies, using natural, pure ingredients, with a small range of flavours wrapped on the wellknown parchment paper distributed in glass jar.

Production was automated gradually, aiming for candy of the highest quality and taste. During all those years, passion, knowledge, patient, drives J&S to invisible vision, to develop new technology, having extensive experience in the production of fruit pectin jellies, inspired to create on 2013 a unique sugar free pectin jelly candy, for which we awarded with an international patent.

Few years later, new production line was installed for moulded jelly, a unique product with brand strategy ‘’Rollover’’ is launching to the market and new cosmetic activities are expanded in the range of mild antiseptic hand gel.

Since then, LAVITA has been mature and his grandsons John & Spiros, continue the family tradition and keep alive the spirit of candy creation with 21st century know-how.

Now, the company, operating under the name LAVITA J&S, has a large distribution network of dealers and representatives in Greece and exports to many countries including Israel, Canada, U.A.E, Spain, Belgium, France and Cyprus. Our products are certified to the highest standards and Lavita J&S has been certified with Kosher, Halal, ISO 22000, ISO9001.

Our goal is to innovate and offer products competitive, affordable to consumers, high nutritional and taste value. Particular products rich in plant fibres with ingredients beneficial to humans, always using natural colours and the best selection of raw materials.
